We LOVE to read ink books
We LOVE to read ink books. Well, we are just learning to read, but we love to be read to. Mommy says that when she and daddy grew up there were no computers, tablets, kindles, tag readers or smart phones. What did you play with we asked? She said we played with toys or outside with friends, and read ink books printed on paper.
Here are some of our favorite books. We hope you like them too!

THE BEST YARD SALE by Mercer Mayer
Our impromptu trip to Chick-fil-a today locked in our latest book up for review. And, it is very appropriate given that we are heading up to Atlanta this weekend and preparing for a yard sale on June 23rd for our Nano (grandmother) who will be moving closer to us this Fall. We can't wait till she moves closer to us!
The Little Critter books by Mayer never disappoint. We love the honesty and true to life tales they tell. This book is no exception. As the Critter family prepares for the yard sale they realize how much "stuff" they have packed into their closets, attic and basements. Everyone can relate to that, right?!
Our favorite part of the book was when Big Brother almost sold his favorite bear by accident, but "saved him" in the end. It brought up a great discussion about how Woody was sold/stolen from a yard sale in Toy Story. We also liked the part of the story where the Critter Mom sells her chocolate chip cookies. We hope we can make cookies with Nano and sell them at our yard sale. We know they will be bestsellers.

PS- Mia read the entire book by herself. Yay Mia!
